It’s been a month since Grawly Bear Farm became ours. Here are a few things we have learned this month.

1. It is so peaceful and calm here. We wake up to the sound of singing birds and go to sleep to the sound of crickets, frogs, and owls.
2. Country nights are dark nights. I had forgotten how dark it gets when the sun goes down and there are no street lights around. The sky is so full of stars and Farm Girl can’t wait to pull out the telescope and star gaze.
3. Baby chicks grow fast, are adept escapees artists, and tricky to tell apart until you get to know their personalities. We may have taken pictures and written their names to help us remember.
4. The dogs are way more interested in the chicks than the chicks are interested in them.
5. Spring is arriving on the farm . Bulbs, trees, and bushes are all in bloom and it is so pretty. I can’t believe I get to live here.
