New perennials in the flower beds, garden growing like crazy, 12 happy growing chickens…we were feeling pretty good about how well we were doing. We were growing things, keeping the wilds from eating what we were growing, and keeping all the animals thriving. This week was a reality check! We caught one of our now 5!! Groundhogs with arms wrapped around the perennials munching away. I don’t know if the delphinums will survive her snacking. The deer snuck over the fencing and ate all the green beans. And we think that cute faced fox ate Henrietta the chicken. The animals took this round…but we plan to win the next!
