The Farm is waking up and I had forgotten how beautiful it is in the spring and how much work there is to be done once spring comes.

We’ve had daffodils popping up in randomly all over the yard for weeks. I love how the different varieties each have their own bloom times. I have a new found love for daffodils and hyacinths and will be planting lots more bulbs this fall!

The redbuds and dogwoods are blooming and they are so pretty!

Despite note needing any more chicks, we ended up with 3 more. They are growing quickly and have reached their weird dinosaur looking phase. Our other chickens are loving warmer weather and free ranging. They start calling to be let out about 7am and Louise is always the ringleader.

Shiloh had to have elbow surgery for a congenital defect. Keeping a Labrador puppy calm is no joke.
