The big projects with the house are now done and we find ourselves settling into the rhythms of the farm. It has awakened memories and habits from my growing up days in Idaho. As Farm Girl and I prepped the garden spot and then planted, I found myself telling her things that I remember my parents sharing with me as we planted each spring. As I placed the potatoes into the cool earth, all I could think of was my Dad. The emotion welled up in me and Heaven felt so close. I have wished many times that Dad could see our little farm and guide us as questions come up. Planting potatoes reminded me hie isn’t far away. ❤️
