When Bambi joined us at the farm, she was a runt – slated to be put down because she would not grow. She is a French Alpine Goat who should be quite large by goat standards. For the first years Bambi was with us, she did not grow much – staying close to the size of our Nigerian goats, but much slimmer. She should have been her full size by a year old, but had hardly grown at that point. The last year Bambi has grown a lot. We joke that she is like Clifford the Big Red Dog – she just needed LOVE to grow.
