The first few years we lived here, we would see deer frequently. One summer we even had twin fawns that would come and play most evenings in the backyard. Last year we saw almost no deer…and no babies. We were concerned that local hunters had found our deer. The past month the deer have reappeared as have 2 fawns. There is something quite magical about looking into the backyard while you make dinner and seeing families of deer out enjoying their dinner too! We’ve seen them all over the yard, but the backyard seems to be the favorite spot for the fawns to get their zoomies out before bed. Little spotted fawns may be among nature’s cutest babies!
