This spring and summer was a little different on the farm. We have always planted a garden – that the animals usually view as a salad bar, but allow us to enjoy a few bites of our labor. This year, the garden was set aside for a different kind of growth….the growth of our children. We spent our spring and summer celebrating college graduations of 2 of our children, moving our son into his first “grown up’ apartment when he started his dream job, and watching our youngest (Farm Girl) take advantage of amazing camps and opportunities that helped her stretch and grow. There were no zucchini, potatoes, or tomatoes, but we did not mind. Watching the growth of our kids has been our favorite thing this year! It has been a season of gratitude for their hard work and determination.
